It has been a few days since my last post. Yuffie is doing very well. Today we did some clicker training teaching her the "Watch Me" command. She did pretty well. I am also trying to teach her "Quiet" for when she barks at simple noises or the neighbors. Today I have to go get her some more chewy toys. She already tore up 2 tennis balls and a rope. So more chews for her coming up.
Also, here lately there has been a white and black rabbit in our yard, I think it is someones pet but Yuffie LOVES chasing it.

Yuffie's Getting a visitor-2/7/10
Well, after her long day yesterday at PetSmart and Home Depot, Yuffie is all rested up. I have also learned that Yuffie is not too fond of her Natural Balance Dog food. Sadly, I tossed the bag without thinking. So, when she finishes it up (I am adding things like doggie gravy and non MSG broth to give it a little flavor, I will switch her to Innova when this is gone and try it. I hear it is very good.
Yesterday at Pet Smart Yuffie got a clicker (for training) a BIG bag of dog training treats and a Ball/Rope Tuggy thing which she loves.
Today, we will be receiving a visitor. He will be coming over to RP with Kevin and I. I am going to train her (with this "stranger") to not bark when there is a knock or doorbell.
I will update with her progress when company is gone.

Yuffie's Saturday 2/6/10
Yuffie has been crated a few times today for excessively barking at the cats. She is undergoing heavy training today and doing well. She is learning beg, give and leave it.
She has mastered wait, sit, lay down, shake, turn and up (when she is laying down we say up and she stands) well..okay maybe not mastered she gets too excited when we grab the leash to day anything. she is also learning her name and No rather well. Quiet...is being worked on.
I also learned today that I can not train my dog outside here...due to neighbor kids climbing the fence to see the puppy. From now on outdoor training must be done at a park and socializing at PetSmart.
I was also woke up around 5 a.m. this morning to the sound of my dog hacking..she was nice enough to hold it until we went outside though. Seems her teething is making her a bit ill. Mommy made it ALLLL better today though and gave her a yummy, gum soothing treat...Chicken broth Ice Cube! Oh yum. She loved every yummy, icy moment of it.

Yuffie-2/5/10
My first posting about Yuffie..hooray! I got Yuffie on Jan. 30,2010 through a Craigslist posting. They got rid of her due to personal reasons.
She had never been introduced to cats or other animals before. She is doing wonderful with them. She barks at them and plays with them a bit, sadly the cats are still trying to figure it all out. She has never tried to hurt them in any way which is wonderful and the cats seem pretty good with her.
So far, Yuffie has learned Sit, stay, come, side, lay down, shake and turn (she turns in a circle) pretty well...until time to go out. She completely forgets her training. Being she is only a puppy (10 months) she will learn soon enough. She also highly enjoys playing with water in the bath tub.
This is all for now, I have dishes and laundry to attend to. More to come!
